Smashwords.com Reviews

I've been getting so many great reviews for The Silurian on Smashwords.com that I've decided not to waste them, but add them here. Nearly all of my reviews are Five Star, and as my readers are loving The Silurian so much, I feel their comments need to be shared with a wider audience.
I'll start with Book One, The Fox and The Bear:

This series of books is one of the better renditions of the Arthurian Legend I have read. If you are looking for a Camelot fairytale, look elsewhere. However, if you are looking for a narrative that places you in the middle of post-Roman Briton, with convincing characters and exciting battle scenes and situations, I can highly recommend this series. I found it hard to put down once I started reading. There are currently 9 books in the series with the 10th, and final volume, due for release later this year.

Great action, non-stop fun, real life settings and characters. I enjoyed it very much and read it without thinking of the time. I will definitely read the next in these series.

This book transported me to another world.. I got so hooked that I didn't sleep until I was able to finish the whole book. It was so real! You could feel every bit of emotion, pain and joy in this book. I actually found myself giggling, laughing, hurting and crying while I was reading it. It will definitely make you forget about the real world and get you buried in the world of The Silurian.

Wow. An easy recommendation - I found this book purely by chance, but as soon as I began reading it, I lost track of time - only my need to get minimal sleep before work stopped me from staying up all night to finish it in one sitting. An amazingly refreshing change from the "fairy tale" version of the Prince/King Arthur story - I felt like I was really there, wincing at every injury, and yes, getting teary eyed.

A book found while searching for something else, it rapidly caught my attention and I didn't let it go before it was finished the following day, which is always a good sign. The pace of the action, the action itself, the settings and the characters was all I needed for a great entertainment. The end of the book found me wanting for more. A clear recommendation.

Book Two, The King of Battles:

The 2nd book gave me more than what I expected. I actually found myself holding my breath, not just once but many times while reading the book. I was just in my room, reading the book, the next thing I know, I was in the middle of a huge bloody battle. This book even ripped my heart out a couple of times. The emotions were so real, it would consume you and bring out your emotional side. I would give this book 10 stars if I could.
Book Three: Arthur's Army
Review by: R.R. Duran on Apr. 18, 2011 : star star star star star
I was a fool not to prepare my heart before reading this book. The battles were so powerful, so exhilarating. I could feel Arthur's power and supremacy. There was this time when my friend had to slap me to get my attention because I couldn't get my eyes off the book. The love story between the fox and the bear showed me that there's so much more to learn when it comes to love. It left me hungry for more. This series gives a high level of realism and the emotions are so true. I admire L.A. Wilson for creating such amazing books. 10 stars for this.

I so totally agree with Kohaver and Alejandra Barnes' reviews. This series is terrific. L.A. Wilson is an exceptional storyteller. I hate putting the books the down but i find myself stretching out my reading so i have something to look forward to. Wonderful, wonderful and more wonderful. I laugh, out loud, sometimes. I cry, out loud, sometimes. Sometimes i get angry sometimes etc. etc. I run the gambit of emotions. Great series. Thank you L.A. Wilson.

I came upon this series as a great surprise, the books are beyond what i would have imagined. I would very higly recommend this series it goes beyond your typical m/f relationships, it captures the love between two males who stop at nothing to keep each other from harm.
